What is FRAY?
Fray is a small independent brand creating accessories and outerwear from rescued wool blankets. Each piece is made in small batches, giving existing materials a second life while focusing on durability and everyday use.
Where are FRAY products made?
Fray products are currently made in the Netherlands. From March 2026, production will move to the UK as the brand’s designer, Noor, relocates there. Fray will continue to work with wool blankets sourced from both the UK and the Netherlands.
What materials do you use?
Fray works mainly with rescued wool blankets, valued for their warmth, durability and natural qualities.
Occasionally we also source blankets made from Dralon. Dralon is a durable acrylic fibre originally developed for blankets and outdoor fabrics. It is soft, strong and resistant to wear, making it well suited for repurposing.
Are the materials cleaned before use?
All materials are sourced second-hand and are carefully cleaned and aired before use.
How durable are FRAY products?
Many of the wool blankets used by Fray date back to the 1960s and have already lasted for decades. Wool is naturally strong and resilient, making it well suited for everyday use. Each piece is carefully inspected and reinforced to ensure it continues to last.
How do I care for my FRAY products?
Wool is naturally durable and resistant to dirt and odours, so most Fray pieces only require occasional spot cleaning. If needed, gently clean the area with a damp cloth and mild soap and allow it to air dry.
Avoid machine washing, hot water, or tumble drying, as heat and agitation can cause the wool to felt and shrink. Do not iron directly on the wool. For deeper cleaning, professional dry cleaning is recommended.
With proper care, wool ages beautifully and Fray pieces are designed to be used and enjoyed for many years.

Where do you ship to?
Fray ships worldwide. From April 2026, all orders are shipped from the UK. Shipping costs and delivery times will be calculated at checkout depending on your location.
